| Elite Series PLA a fully biodegradable polymer with excellent properties that ensures a highly efficient printing with an extremely good adhesion of printed items to the build beds of 3D printers. Major advantages of PLA is the very good layer cohesion, excellent surface quality and low processing shrinkage. It is particularly useful for 3D printers without a closed build chamber and produces consistent and reliable results. The biodegradable propterties means that PLA will slowly start to decompose when exposed to UV-radiation and moisture. If dropped in the sea it will dissolve completely after six months to two years. Compare this to conventional plastics where degradation can take up to 500-1,000 years.
