The DC connector is a wire terminal type power connector for universal application. The RJ45 connectors are shielded to ensure continuous shielding from power source to destination device. Power is supplied on all 8 Ethernet pins 1,2,4,5(+) and 3,6,7,8(-). The unit can handle up to 2.5A continuous power so it is perfect for carrying up to 140W @ 56VDC over CAT5/CAT6 cable. The inserters/splitters are perfect for remotely powering devices such as PoE Switches.
